Get a free collector's pocketknife with a stay of 3 or more nights. All of our cabin rentals have complete kitchens, wireless internet, satellite smart flat-screen HDTVs with Blue Ray or DVD/CD player, BBQ decks with gas grills, and more. Kitchens are stocked with basic supplies including sugars, flour, pancake mix, seasonings, coffee, tea and more. Guests also can enjoy picnicking, horseshoes, beach volleyball, badminton, and watching moose, eagles and other Alaskan critters.
Our cabins are conveniently located in a quiet area just off the Sterling Highway on the west side of the Kenai Peninsula. Spruce trees, alders and wildflowers hide the view of the cabins from the highway and block the sound of the traffic. The location offers you a sample of real Alaska rural life but with the convenience of easy access to nearby local communities including Homer and Anchor Point, where you will find restaurants, shopping, tours, and more fun things to do.

Everything You Need to Know Before You Book
Do the cabins have full kitchens?
Yes. Every cabin comes with a complete kitchen, stocked with basics like coffee, tea, sugar, flour, pancake mix, and seasonings, so you can cook a full meal without a grocery run.
Can I cook the fish I catch?
Absolutely, and we hope you do. Each cabin has a private BBQ deck with a gas grill, perfect for grilling up halibut or salmon straight from your day on the water.
Is there laundry available on-site?
Captain Cook Lodge, Bear Den Vacation Home, and the Wise Old Hunger Lodge has its own private washer and dryer. There are no laundry facilities in the Moose Cabin.
What is your cancellation policy?
We will refund your payment for lodging or adventures (less 15% of the total lodging or adventure cost), if you cancel at least 30 days in advance of the check-in date or date of the adventure. No refunds with cancellations made less than 30 days from the date of check-in or date of the adventure.
How many guests can each cabin sleep?
Captain Cook Lodge sleeps 8 (2 queens, 4 twins, 2 full baths). Wise Old Hunter Lodge sleeps 8 (1 queen, 6 twins, 1.5 baths). Bear Den Vacation Home sleeps 9 (2 queens, 5 twins, 2 full baths). Moose Cabin sleeps 4 (4 twins, 1 full bath).
Do the cabins have WiFi and TV?
Yes, all cabins include wireless internet and satellite smart TVs with Blu-ray/DVD players, so you can stay connected or unwind after a day out exploring.
Is it better to book directly with Bear Paw Adventure?
Yes. Booking directly through our website or by phone gets you the best rate, since third-party booking sites add their own fees on top.
What is the minimum stay?
Unlike many cabins near us, we allow one night stays. Check our availability calendar for your preferred date/dates.
Are pets allowed?
We enjoy pets, but many of our guests express concerns with pet allergies. Pets are not permitted inside any of Bear Paw Adventure's buildings. A cleaning charge of $300 will apply if pets or evidence of pets are found inside your building.
