Alaska Riding Adventures

Here are three exciting riding adventures that will take you into some of Alaska’s most interesting locations. Whether you choose the mechanical power of Four Wheeling, climbing into the saddle for a Horseback Riding adventure, or the explosive power of the dogs on an Alaska Dog Sledding trip, you are sure to enjoy the combination of an exciting ride and unique views of Alaska.  And after your ride, enjoy watching for wildlife from your private BBQ deck at Bear Paw Adventure.

Horseback Riding

If trail riding in the Alaska wilderness is on your list, you won't find a better choice than this  horseback riding adventure in the Chugach National Forest.

Saddle up near Seward. This ride starts off in the rain forest of Alaska and continues through part of old town Seward that was destroyed by the 1964 earthquake. Next it is out to the grass land and the beach of Resurrection Bay where you will see a variety of shore birds. The trail crosses many rivers where you see bald eagles up close and watch them feed and nest. Then the trail loops back towards home but with another river crossing were the salmon swim through the horse’s legs. The scenery is absolutely spectacular.

Two hour rides scheduled each day at 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm (May through August) available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  Check in at least 20 minutes before ride time.  $257 per person includilng fees (add 3% tax). Available May 1 through August 31.

No riding experience necessary, minimum age 6, maximum of 7 people per ride, maximum rider weight 275 lbs.
