Peaceful
Cute lil log cabin, cozy and homey. First picture on posting is of main house I believe, which houses the host/owners, which is not one of the rental cabins. Bear den does not have a view to volleyball court. Regardless, beautifully maintained property.

Thank you so much for the comments and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. All 48 photos on the Vrbo listing for the Bear Den, where you stayed, are of the Bear Den. We offer 3 other buildings for rental, The Captain Cook Lodge, The Wise Old Hunter Lodge and the Moose Cabin. The first listing you typically see on Vrbo for our business (Bear Paw Adventure) is of the Captain Cook Lodge. All four of these unique buildings are available for our guests. And it is correct that the beach volleyball court is not visible from the Bear Den. This activity is available to guests staying in all four of our buildings, and it is an area isolated from the buildings.

Short but sweet
Home is extremely clean. Has great Alaskan decor. Brought my Eskimo friend; he stated “I feel very settled in this home” wish we had more than one night’ caught our limit next day of Halibut at Central Charters @Homer

Artistic getaway
Guy that runs the place is amazing, keeps the grounds with than artists flare. Must have taken yrs! Great stay log cabins are beautiful. Close to shopping fishing and great food.

The property has everything you will need. It is close enough to town. But far enough out that you don’t run into tourists.

Captain Cook Lodge Cabin
Amazing cabin with a peaceful setting. Pay attention to the artistic and handcrafted details it’s incredible. The host John was great, excellent communication and ensured we had everything we needed. We will be back again for sure.

Excellent location
Beautiful cabin with absolutely everything we needed and then some. We stayed as a family of 7. We only stayed for the weekend so we made the most of it . On the way to the cabin, we fished the Kenai river for silvers. Grandkids had a blast. The next day we spent most of our time in Homer, eating and shopping. We also did some fishing in Homer, but not much luck.

Alaska Fishing Trip
This place was beautiful, unique decor, extremely clean. The host was extremely helpful throughout the reservation process and during our stay. If you want to stay at the best Homer/Anchor Point area has to offer, this is the place!

Great cabin nicely located between Homer & Soldotna
Bulk of our stay was in Seward, but came over to this side of the peninsula for a couple nights. Was a great setup for 4 adults, with lots of room to stretch out and a full kitchen (well stocked, communal with guests before/after).
