The bald eagle, our national bird, is also the symbol of our community at Anchor Point, Alaska. An estimated 50,000 to 70,000 bald eagles live in Alaska (U.S. Dept. of the Interior, 6/28/07). Anchor Point is a great place to come to observe and photograph this majestic bird, especially during the winter months.
This print of the original watercolor by artist Carol Ogle (Brazos Art) is now available. The print is based on a photograph taken along the Anchor Point beach road in July of 2006.
