Bear Paw Adventure is a small family owned and
operated adventure service. John and Denise Ogle are your hosts during your
stay in the Wise Old Hunter lodge or in Moose Cabin at Anchor Point. Their
year-round home is just across Camai Road from the cabins. They have three
Alaska-born children - Corinne, Sophie and Leo. John has been in Alaska
since 1984 and has operated both commercial and sports fishing services,
most recently Bear Paw Charters.
The family has considerable experience in primitive camping and adventure on
the Yukon and other interior rivers.
John Ogle (Sr), who is located in far away Lake Jackson, Texas, provides the reservation services for Bear Paw Adventure’s customers. Events that have occurred during Alaska river trip have earned Mr. Ogle the nickname “Wise Old Hunter”, which is also the name of our lodge.
